COSTA DA MORTE - GALICIA
The rugged cliffs that make up Costa da Morte (the Coast of Death) are found in the northeast of Galicia (Spain), stretching from Monte Louro Point in the south (in the township of Muros), to the village of A Coruña in the north. It is called the "Coast of Death" because many of the ships lost in storms or smashed on the rocks by gales over the centuries.
Following the coast, which goes around some truly spectacular scenery, we can see beautiful beaches as well as a very rich ecosystem.
Our local beaches pick up the best of any swell arriving in the Northwest of Spain – you can find spots without crowds. Costa da Morte has ideal waves for starting out or improving your surfing – you can do a surf check from your bedroom window in some of our selected accommodations! As well the water is clean and many beaches like Razo- Baldaio have a Blue Flag Award.
